Nearly Insane Block 49 (ISH)

This block has 108 pieces @ 6". It is NOT right. DOH!!! I guess I should have stepped away from the sewing machine this weekend. I am NOT re-doing it.
UGH, after seeing the photo I really need to re-do it. it is willy-nilly.

I think it looks fine! Sometime finished is better than perfect! You'll never notice it once it is in the quilt!

I agree.... my dad has an expression he uses when he's quilting and something doesn't turn out just quite like he wants it to: "Ah well, you'll never see it on a moving horse!"

I'm not sure exactly what he means. If the quilt was on a moving horse, we'd never see the imperfections as it galloped by? or if we were on a moving horse, we'd never see imperfections in the quilts we pass?

But anyway, I borrow the expression from him a LOT when quilting!

I think this block looks absolutely amazing! No "do over" needed!

LOL, my mom used to always say, "Nobody will notice on a galloping horse!". I haven't heard that in years. For us, it usually was when something about our clothing wasn't right...maybe we kids had a small stain, or maybe we were wrinkled. It just basically meant she didn't want to deal with it, LOL.

It's still a pretty block, and with that many pieces in that small area, I would NOT redo it either, LOL! That's part of what makes handmade better than machine made. :-)

I have no idea where, but somewhere I heard that NO quilt is perfect - intentionally. That's my excuse anyways....LOL
