Another UFO bites the dust.

It isn't the best of quilting jobs but it is done. I should have probably sent this one out to be quilted but my quilting budget is at a halt at the moment. I am still plugging away at my works in progress. My goal is to get all of my WISP's and UFO's done, including my flimsies that need to be quilted, before I start anything new. I'm not sure if this is possible but I want to try.

Here are two more Gardener's Journal blocks done. One more block to go and I can start on the borders and get this baby on the flimsy list. I think I have enough fabric left over to make a scrappy backing.

This is the Catalicious BOM, finished just in time for the end of the month.
By the time I can get to my sewing room it will be October so my progress for September is done. I met all of my sewing goals for the month. Unfortunately, I didn't lose the 5 pounds I had set for myself. I weight exactly the same today as I did the first of the month. :(
October's list will have the the 5 pound goal as #1. I am going to have to start earning my sewing room time. It is limited to the weekend only as it is but before I can go in there I have to have all my workouts and foods cooked for the week.

October Goals:
1) Lose 5 pounds
2) Pin baste, quilt & bind Crazy Cat table runner
3) Pin baste, quilt & bind Tisket - a - Tasket wall hanging
4) 10 Sylvia's Bridal Sampler blocks
5) Cut and sort squares for Leaders and Enders quilt
6) Basket Redwork
7) Calendar Redwork
8) Catalicious
9) Cut all fabrics for Life is Beautiful
10) stitch last Gardeners Journal block

I hope you all reach your goals you set for yourself! Have a happy, healthy week!!

What a great finish. Your quilt looks beautiful.
Your stitcheries are lovely too. I have always wanted to do the gardeners journal quilt- just need that extra time!

Yvette, congratulations on such a lovely finish. I nevr got around to making that quilt but I did use someof the blocks on towels. I need to shed some pounds too. Thnks for the idea of adding weight loss to the top of the list.
Your other projects are looking delightful as well.

Congrats on making almost all of your goals! One thing I've done to get in a tiny bit of extra working out while sewing was to get one of those pull-up bars that fits into your door frame. If I go into my sewing room, I do a pullup. It lives in the doorway to my sewing room, and I'm able to help myself up by jumping on the floor, I hold myself up at the top for a few seconds and lower myself as slowly as I can. I still can't do a full pull-up, but I don't have to jump off the floor anymore. I can pull myself up from standing to the top.

Yvette, your quilting looks great! I don't know why eveyrone wants to quilt everything to death these days, I really prefer a simpler look myself, so I love it!

Look on the bright side... at least you didn't gain 5lbs! LOL

All of your stitchery blocks are fabulous...but your finished quilt is amazing! It's very inspiring to see your finished BeAttitudes because I am still struggling away with my blocks.

Great finish...I love all the blocks too...I can't wait to see the gardner's quilt together, all the blocks are wonderful. My answer to excercise when you sew....I listen to music while I sew and I get up frequently and dance about to a fast song....then back to sewing!

Loving the Be Attitudes! Well, loving ALL of your work, but that one I'm especially fond of.

Your stitcheries are just gorgeous...I love seeing your progress. You are the most focused quilter I've ever met!

Crossing fingers for you on the 5 pound goal. Notice, I didn't say, joining you.... sigh. Although, Karen is hinting at going to the gym tonight. I should tag along!

Have a great week! (Hope it's short!)
