Here are two more Gardener's Journal blocks done. One more block to go and I can start on the borders and get this baby on the flimsy list. I think I have enough fabric left over to make a scrappy backing.
This is the Catalicious BOM, finished just in time for the end of the month.
By the time I can get to my sewing room it will be October so my progress for September is done. I met all of my sewing goals for the month. Unfortunately, I didn't lose the 5 pounds I had set for myself. I weight exactly the same today as I did the first of the month. :(

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh I have so wanted to make that quilt, started one but was missing a page and made a big mess of it. Maybe one day I will do it again?
Great finishes! Love everything!
Your October goals will definitely keep you busy. :-)
Weight loss before sewing - sounding very drastic Yvette! Your blocks look wonderful and I love your finished quilt top.
lots of wonderful sewing........and 2 more GJ blocks.......
What a great finish. Your quilt looks beautiful.
Your stitcheries are lovely too. I have always wanted to do the gardeners journal quilt- just need that extra time!
Yvette, congratulations on such a lovely finish. I nevr got around to making that quilt but I did use someof the blocks on towels. I need to shed some pounds too. Thnks for the idea of adding weight loss to the top of the list.
Your other projects are looking delightful as well.
Congrats on making almost all of your goals! One thing I've done to get in a tiny bit of extra working out while sewing was to get one of those pull-up bars that fits into your door frame. If I go into my sewing room, I do a pullup. It lives in the doorway to my sewing room, and I'm able to help myself up by jumping on the floor, I hold myself up at the top for a few seconds and lower myself as slowly as I can. I still can't do a full pull-up, but I don't have to jump off the floor anymore. I can pull myself up from standing to the top.
I love the Be quilt. I have that book and have used some of the patterns on towels.
Congratulations on finishing that beautiful quilt! You only have one more GJ block? I have three more after I finish the one I'm working on now. Oh well...I'm happy to be sticking with the one a month plan! LOL
Wow...you are a hard task master...lol...I'm glad you aren't cracking the whip on me or maybe you should and I'd be more productive!
Love all of your projects and I think your quilting looks great!
Great projects Yvette!! I'm sorry your 5 pounds didn't come off, but I wish you well for next month :0)
I don't set many goals, but so far I sticking with the few I have set. I really want to get caught up with all my various projects and actually get them done LOL.

Your off to a good start Yvette! Keep it up for Oct. and you will be in great shape.
As usual your work is just wonderful. To finish all my UFO's...wouldn't that be great?! You're a lot more determined than I'll ever be.
Yvette, your quilting looks great! I don't know why eveyrone wants to quilt everything to death these days, I really prefer a simpler look myself, so I love it!
Look on the bright side... at least you didn't gain 5lbs! LOL
ahh...I have that same project and it's about 1/2 done! Yours makes me want to pull out mine and finish it! Great job!

I have LOVED your first photo from the first time I saw you starting it. Yvette - I love when your projects come together. I realize what a diligent person you really are. Kudos to you dear friend.
Okay, okay, enough of the mushy stuff - Your #1 October Goal is my ONLY goal...LOSE !!!! Now - as they say - "Can we talk"....ROFLOL
All of your stitchery blocks are fabulous...but your finished quilt is amazing! It's very inspiring to see your finished BeAttitudes because I am still struggling away with my blocks.
Great finish...I love all the blocks too...I can't wait to see the gardner's quilt together, all the blocks are wonderful. My answer to excercise when you sew....I listen to music while I sew and I get up frequently and dance about to a fast song....then back to sewing!
Loving the Be Attitudes! Well, loving ALL of your work, but that one I'm especially fond of.
Your stitcheries are just gorgeous...I love seeing your progress. You are the most focused quilter I've ever met!
Crossing fingers for you on the 5 pound goal. Notice, I didn't say, joining you.... sigh. Although, Karen is hinting at going to the gym tonight. I should tag along!
Have a great week! (Hope it's short!)

Congratulations on the finish Yvette! Your quilt looks fantastic. I'd like to make this one. Great progress on the blocks! You're so inspiring, need to follow your lead and set goals.
When I finished all my UFO's last year, I felt so goood! Of course it was not long before I had a whole new set of UFO's. Congrats on your finish...and good luck with your goals.
