knocking out the list

July is just zipping by. My two week vacation has come and gone and it is back to work for me tomorrow. I spent the first week visiting family in New Mexico and the second week at home getting things organized at home. The first picture I have here is my Blooming Beauty top all put together. I am hoping I can get it quilted and bound in August. I guess that will be the first thing on the list.
I was also able to finish the last three Wonky Handled "Tisket a Tasket" blocks. Now I have to figure out what to use to sash and border them with. I think I will add this to September's list. LOL

I did 4 more "Life is Beautiful" stitcheries while I was in New Mexico. I can't wait to get these done and start making the blocks these will go on.
Here is July's "Gardener's Journal" block.
I also put borders on Colleen's Nearly Insanish quilt top. She opted out of the zig-zag border and wanted extra large borders to be able to use this on a king size bed. I started piecing a backing for this but my math skills didn't surface and I had to order more fabric. LOL! One more strip and I should be done with that.

It was nice spending the week with all my girls. I hope everyone has a great week! Happy Quilting!!

OOOOOOH! Next weekend is the big Long Beach quilt show. I can't wait to be surrounded by all those quilts and fabrics. I was smart and cleaned my sewing room this weekend to help keep me from buying anything I don't need. Will it work? I guess we will know next weekend.

You have been BUSY! So many projects and all good ones.
The red & white Nearly Insane quilt is fantastic. The prim style applique flowers on the other quilt are so cute.

That Blooming Beauty is so sweet! Did you hand applique it?

Great going on the baskets, the stitcheries, the Gardener's Journal block.

Colleen's Nearly Insanish quilt is really intricate and gorgeous! I could study those blocks all day. :-)

Well done on the Nearly Insane!! I have started the zig-zag border on mine (not as much fun as the blocks!!!!) I have only done one side - all hand pieced. Think I AM nearly insane!!

First of all, how did you get your furry friends to all sit so nicely long enough for a photo?

Your projects are wonderful, Yvette.

Nearly Insane - oh my word - and you still have eyes after doing that beauty? Question, are Nearly Insane Quilt always done in red/whites?

Okay, so now you go back to work to rest - after all those accomplishments on vacation?

So sorry you didn't have any time for quilting on your vacation. LOL. Tell me when your next vacation is and I will bring over all the things I need to finish and you can show me how it is done!

Looks like a very productive vacation indeed with lots of pretty projests. Those girls are so cute. If they're anything like my boys, they want attention 24/7.
