More, More, More..........

I wasn't really in the mood to do any Insane blocks this weekend but I didn't want to get too far behind the group. Ranette's blocks really inspired me too! I chose to do two easy blocks. The top block will be a replacement block for one of those Insane ones that have over a hundred pieces. The one under that is block #60. Nice and easy! 65 blocks done (really 130 for me) and 33 to go (66 for me).
I was able to sew 3 more wool blocks in the evenings. I may have to re-do the one on the upper right, I don't like how the vine is so wonky.
The blocks below are 6.5" string blocks that I made using the leftovers that I had for my "An Angel's Story" quilt. I am going to make as many as I can and then use them to piece a backing for the quilt. I found the perfect border & Binding fabric today at the Orange Quilt Bee. I bought extra to hopefully have enough for the rest of the back.
I hope everyone has a healthy, happy, productive week. Happy quilting!!

More X3 is right! You've been a busy bee! The insanes are so bright and cheery! Love 'em!

Your wool blocks are coming right along! I love the one on the bottom of the group - they're all gorgeous but that one really caught my eye!

And oh wow, how cute is that string quilt going to be? I love strings! The essence of frugal quilting and so pretty! I think I might go make another square or two tonight!

Wishing you a safe and hopefully Short Week!! Are you off Friday?

:)

Hey I made the block with the nine patch yesterday...woohoo! I think I've only got 13 blocks left, thank you Lord! lol

The wool blocks are amazing, not sure that I'd redo the one, the stem gives it character!

I love your soft string blocks too!

Sheesh, the string blocks look wonderful enough to use as a quilt itself - you should seriously think about it.

Look at you - back at the sewing machine, getting revved up. That's the Yvette I have come to know and love!!

"Easy" is good once in awhile. you know, mindless work.
Love those woolies. I cannot remember, are those handstitched appliques?

Hallo Yvette, Thanks for your nice comment on my (still new) blog. I've really enjoyed looking through your quilts and blocks; they appeal to me. The Nearly Insane does look good in two colours, doesn't it?

I love those string blocks from your angel leftovers. I studied them to think about why I am drawn to them so much and I've decided that it's because the colours are so soft and pretty. Yum
