Friday night I worked on part one of the Silver Thimble Mystery that I am getting from Fatquarters quilt shop in Vista. I had a ton of squares to cut out in various sizes that aren't in the picture and sew 80 HST's from my focus fabric and background fabrics, which I sewed Saturday night. I look forward to next months installment. I have never really done a mystery that I had no clue of what it would look like. I do the FQS Mystery but they give out so many clues that you have a pretty good idea of what you are making.
After I finished all those HST's I started sewing Cheddar Bow Ties. I hit the wall and continued on Sunday morning and finished 10 - 9 patches (90 bow ties). I now have a total of 60 - 9 patches done. I think I will make 20 more and put them together to see if that is a good enough size for the back of my couch.
After I ran a few last minute errands I thought I would have time to make 31 more S'mores blocks. Well, I had time to cut and sew the first round on but time got away from me and I will have to finish next weekend. I really could have used that extra hour that was stolen from me this weekend.
During the week I managed to finish 7 baskets during my lunch hour. (No picture)
I also finished another Sweet and Simple block. I think this makes nine blocks done.
That't it for this week.
I hope you all have a great week and find plenty of time to play with fabrics and thread.

very pretty sweet and simple block.
Hope you have as productive a week this week.
I think you had a very productive "mindless" week end. way to go!
Impressive! Can't wait to see what your mystery quilt is gonna look like. I always worry that I'm not going to like it after spending all that time. You can't go wrong with a red and white quilt tho.
What a nice Sweet and Simple block. And that's a LOT of bow ties! You're rockin' it. :D
Again, you made good use of your sewing time. I am not good at mystery quilts. I would rather know what I am making. But I think the shop you are getting the parts from does well in their selection of pattern and fabrics.
Nothing mindless about any of this to me, Yvette. I'd say you were on a roll!
Won't those bow ties be fun on the back of your couch. : )
All so beautiful Yvette
Mindless is often a very good thing. You got lots done...Your mystery quilt looks like fun...I have never done a totally mystery quilt either, looks like fun. Your bowties are awesome...and your Sweet and Simple block is just beautiful...love what it says. Tell me about your ruler please that you're using for your S'more blocks...I have a terrible time getting those to work right. I'm with you, I really don't like being robbed of that hour...I need them all and then some...LOL! Happy week to you!
You always get so much done! You're amazing! :0)

Well, some of it may have been mindless, but it's still lots of progress! You reminded me that I need to work on my bow ties!
