My First Klosjes

Ever since I have seen these little guys on other blogs I have wanted to make them. Thanks to Crispy and her hand piecing tutorials, I was able to make my first one. This measures 2 3/4" finished. I figure if I want a queen sized quilt I would need to make 1200 total. LOL! I am sure a table runner is as far as I will get. To start I will try to make one a week.I also used the skills Crispy taught me to hand piece this block from my "Sylvia's Bridal Sampler" quilt. This is D-1.
I also finished 2 more Redwork baskets.

I wasn't able to visit my sewing machine this weekend. I did pin baste the Crazy Cats and Tisket-a-Tasket and will try to get to those in the next few weeks. I think I am dedicating next weekend to cleaning out the sewing room and organizing. It will not be an easy feat. I want to get rid of anything I know I don't need or want anymore.

A great start to your Klosjes journey, Yvette!! Be careful as I have found them to be infectious - you may end up with a bed-sized quilt, not just a table runner!! I love your other blocks too, and "D-1" has turned out lovely.

Wow, that Klosjes is teentsy! And oh so cute!

My hat is off to you! Your D1 is AWESOME. (I may need my hat back in a few weeks when I do that one, to cover the places on my scalp where I pull some hair out!) Seriously, that one looks hard, but you nailed it!!

May the Force Be With You as you tackle the sewing room/organization project! That's one of those things you'll look at afterwards and be Sew Glad!!

Have a great week!

Love your spool block - you're going to need a squillion to make a queen size quilt. LOL Several blogger friends and I swapped machine pieced spool blocks a couple of years ago. It's one of my favorite quilts.

Love your redwork baskets!

I cleaned out my sewing room a few months ago and I'm going to do it again in a couple of weeks.

I can't imagine being that precise hand piecing anything, you rock Yvette!

I say go for the cleanup time, you will be so much happier in your sewing space once it's done!

Your hand piecing blocks are wonderful Yvette!! I'm so happy the tutorial helped you. 1200 Klosjes is a lot, I think I would quit at table runner size LOL.

Your SBS block is just perfect Yvette! I think I'll probably get chucked out of the SBS club soon. I am way behind! You have been very busy. Good luck with sorting out the sewing room. Took me ages to do mine but it's worth it!
