Dear Jane D-2 & E-5

I was home earlier than normal from work today so I decided to try to get done my weekly Dear Jane blocks. The block on top is D-2 Mouse in a Mirror. It was much easier to make than I thought it would be, thanks to Anina's directions.

The block on the bottom is E-5 Rising Sun. This one was pretty easy too.

The block below is one for my Nearly Insane quilt. This is the first block I ever hand pieced. I bought the book and DVD called "Quilted Diamonds" by Linda Franz. I thought I needed to learn to hand piece so I tried it on this block since it had inset seams. I was pleasantly surprised on how nice it came out. I will definately be doing more of this.

3 more great blocks Yvette. It always warms my heart when someone mentions they like the results when hand piecing :0)

Your blocks are looking wonderful. I've only done a little hand piecing but I expect we'll be getting lots of practice. There are a couple of blocks with inset seams. I'm finding it easier to hand piece anything little with inset seams.

Beautiful blocks! (Gah! I'm falling so behind on my Jane blocks!) Hand piecing is definitely awesome for inset seams, and your block looks great!
