Sunday = FUN DAY

My friend Karene came over today for some sewing fun. The only thing missing was the third amigo, Joy. I could kick myself for not taking pictures.

I was able to finish my "Crazy Curves" top today that I am making for a cousin in New Mexico. I even pieced a border and made my binding strips. Now I have to find a day that I can go to the quilt shop and borrow a table to pin baste it.

Yesterday I visited the "Bunney Hutch" to pick up a backing for the Crazy Curve quilt. While I was there I picked up these flannel fat quarters. I plan on doing a "Lucky Stars" quilt with them. This picture doesn't do them justice.
Karene and I also finished our Saturday Sampler blocks for September. Two more blocks to go and we can work on building our quilts. We have eached picked different sashing, borders and backing. It should be fun to see what we come up with.

That's it for my quilting marathon. I will probably work 6 days this week and the only sewing that will be accomplished will be my Dear Jane blocks. I sure hope Anina picks easy ones this week.

Yep, we did miss the third amigo !!! It was such a nice relaxing day with a good friend !!! We have to do that much more often. I wish we all had a big sewing room we could all fit in with tables to ourselves and a cutting/pinning table ....darn, wish we could have won that lotto !!! Give the girls a hug & kiss from me !

Hugs, Karene

Wow, I LOVE YOUR CRAZY CURVES quilt! That looks beautiful!

And please tell me what a Lucky Star quilt is? (me loves stars)

May your week include lots of sewing time!

I figure the rest of the world is insane and we're the normal ones. :)

Come and join anyways! I too have a UFO list a mile long and work too many hours in a week, but it's only one block a week and they're huge and easy (compared to Dear Jane :)

Glad you got the book in time! The first block is up and ready to go. It went pretty quickly. I figure we can work ourselves up to some of the tougher blocks.
