Quilt Therapy

Hello!
I have been MIA so long that Blogger went and changed things on me.  I hope I can do this right.

First of all, I want to thank everyone for their concern on how I was doing after the loss of my mom.   I don't want to say it is easier but the loss is eased by knowing she will live in my heart.  My friends really helped get me through this and I am forever grateful.

One of the greatest therapies is sewing.   As usual, I have so many projects going that there is no way I could share them all at once.  I will ease you into them by showing you what I have finished.

This quilt was a "Take and Make" class I took with some friends.  We managed to finish this in class.  You can't see the quilting on it but it has hearts throughout.   I am ready for Valentines Day.
This next quilt had a billion HST's.  I call this my "therapy" quilt.   I would work on this when I got home from work until I went to bed.  It kept my mind off of the loneliness at night.  Those HST's are tiny!!!

This next quilt was one that was finished before the holidays but I never got around to binding it.  My mom used to do all my bindings and she wanted to do it but became too weak.   Linda quilted it and did a fabulous job.   Hopefully she has better pictures to show.

Here is a close up of some of the quilting.

This next one is called "Cotton Club".   I did this one with two other friends.   The photo doesn't do the quilting justice.  There are feathers throughout the sashing and borders.  TJ loves it!

That's it for this post.  I have three more soon to be finished tops, all I need it to bind them and they are done.  I will show those in my next post in two weeks when I am back from seeing family in New Mexico.   Maybe by then I will find my camera charger to get better pictures.  LOL

Have a great week everyone!

Oh Yvette, you don't know how excited that I was this morning when I saw your post! I'm so glad you are back, we've all missed you.

You have been busy! I love those quilts. The applique one is my favorite. There are all beautiful.

Enjoy your time with your family. You are right, quilting is a great source of therapy. I started quilting after my divorce from my first husband many years ago. I need something to keep my mind busy.
