A Finish!

I sent my "Berry Picking Party" off to be quilted by C.J. I mailed it on a Monday and ten days later it was back in my arms. She did a fabulous job quilting this! I just LOVE it. The pantograph she recommended is just perfect and so are the stitches. All that needs to be done is a label and it will be ready for its new home.

No sewing took place at my house this weekend. :( I did get some fabrics together for a quilt I will be doing with Ranette and Joy. I am going to do mine in red, blue Civil War's and light shirtings. Here is a picture of the quilt.............

I did everything on my February To-Do list. I started working on my "Vintage Valentine" UFO. I prepped 104 applique pieces and will start the stitching process tonight.

Here is my March To-Do list:

1) 1- "Kitchen Fairy" block
2) 5- "Sylvia's Bridal Sampler" blocks
3) 5- "Farmer's Wife" blocks
4) 20 - Klosjes
5) Month 3 of "Civil War Chronicles"
6) Month 3 of "Civil War Tribute"
7) Work on "Blue Ridge Beauty" leader & ender project
8) 1- "Baltimore Bunny"
9) 1- "Lovebird Lane" block
9) Cut & label "Cracked Pots"

UFO to work on: Vintage Valentine

I hope everyone has a fantastic week!

Your quilt looks wonderful. That's such a pretty quilt and the quilting really goes with it well.

I'm sorry there was no quilting this weekend, but I do like that pattern you showed (must make note to add to my list - LOL).

Good luck on your goals for next month. I know you can do them. You never cease to amaze me with what you get done every week.

Berry Picking is beautiful, your quilter did a great job for you. Good luck with the March goals. I also have Vintage Valentine to make and I'm sorry to say that it's barely a UFO at all...just some applique pieces cut out for one of the blocks :o

Berry Picking looks mah-val-ous! Really pretty Yvette. Did CJ quilt over the embroidery? I couldn't tell in the pictures.

Okay, you outed me! I wasn't going to mention a new project quite yet...lol But I am excited to start on Cracked Pots.

Congrats on making all of your goals for February. I need to become more goal driven, like you :)

That's beautiful machine quilting and really doesn't look like most pantographs I've seen. Love the stitcheries, and the Cracked Pots pattern is really cute.

What a lovely finish...don't you just love the crinkled look of the quilting? I really enjoy seeing what you are up too...you are the BOM queen!

OMG. Is it really March tomorrow? Eeep!

The quilt is beautiful! I love the flowery quilting going on-- so pretty, and just right.

That new pattern looks like fun! I keep meaning to try a Miss Rosie pattern (I'm in love with those Schnibbles quilts), but haven't managed to yet. One day!

Good luck on your goals for the month!

Berry Picking turned out so wonderfully.

I can't wait to see what you do with Cracked Pots. I've loved that pattern ever since I was lucky enough to attend a trunk show by the designer.

Good luck with your March goals. You always amaze me with just how much you can accomplish in a month.

Your finished quilt is great! Thanks for sharing :-) You have a huge to-do list for March! How are you able to manage your time so well - that's so impressive!!! I've been thinking about the one gazillion HST's awaiting us in the CWC BOM for March and have been reading in "Quilting: The Complete Guide" written by Darlene Zimmerman through www.krausebooks.com It is a small, but very complete reference book with great how-to photo shots. I see she has a tool on pgs. 56 & 57 for HST's called the "Easy Angle", which would be an alternative to the AccuQuilt. I am going to try to figure out a freezer paper template for the three matching triangular corners running diagonally (with stripes! yikes!) through March's block. Have you begun the March block cutting yet?
