Who Stole October??

I am not sure what happened with October. It just flew on by! I have been in my sewing room when I get the chance. I even went over to The Orange Quilt Bee 3 Sundays in a row to be able to sew with my friends. I was able to pin/quilt the red work Christmas quilt that I started last year. This weekend I was able to finish up my September and October "Home Is Where The Heart Is" BOM. We are supposed to get together at Joy's house the day after Thanksgiving to get started on November and December blocks. Next year I plan on turning them into monthly wall hangings. 201o will be the year of the UFO!

The next 2 blocks are the final ones for my "An Angel's Story" quilt. I need to start cutting the sashing squares and start putting them all together. These gals just crack me up!!! I hope to get this one pinned and quilted next.

The next 5 are my weekly "Nearly Insane" blocks. I am now only 1 week behind. WOO HOO!! I decided that I am going to keep working on these as a weekly block and I put away all my Jane's. My goal is to not have any UFO's left. I want to work on one weekly block project and one other project ONLY at a time. Is this possible??? We shall see.

I hope to be able to keep up with weekly posts again and get caught up on my Blog reading too! I hope you all have a healthy, happy week.

Keep on stitching!

I really like your redwork Xmas quilt. I note that you have touches of green and it really adds to the stitcheries. I am waiting on some variegated red embroidery thread to arrive so I can do a redwork project.

OH MY WORD WOMAN - you're BACK - and you have DONE so much!!!!!!!

I am LOVING this red and white quilt. And I REALLY love the "spots" of green here and there, totally cool.

Here, I thought you were being lazy, not sewing, not living, not eatting BUT I was WRONG!! You're my HERO - you're STILL sewing - you little monkey!!!!!

Yippee, Yippee, Yippee - you ARE back and making me happy again.

Now just because tomorrow is Monday and you go back to work, doesn't mean you're allowed to stop reading blogs.

Sewing hugs and blessings TO YOU and all.

You did indeed accomplish a lot! I'm kicking myself for not coming over to OQB to see that Christmas stitchery quilt in person - it's GORGEOUS!! Your Angel's Story is Sew Cute! And as usual the Nearly Insanes are awesome!

I'm loving your proclamation that 2010 is the Year of the UFO. Only, I have a couple I want to start anyway... I guess after I start 'em, they'll be UFOs too!! Snicker!

Wishing you a great week! See you on Black Friday!!

Love your Christmas redwork! I am now up to nine stitchery projects waiting to be made. Wonderful Angel Story blocks and Nearly Insane. Two other projects waiting for me to start. I like the idea of 2010 being a UFO year and only working on a couple of projects at a time. But, is it possible???

It's nice to see you back, Yvette! I'm with you... though really, I'm wondering not just where October went, but September too! :P

Your redwork Christmas quilt is stunning. Congratulations on another gorgeous finish!!! I can't wait to see those angel blocks start coming together. They are so cute. And, as ever, your NI blocks are just awesome.

Good luck on your project focus! I could really use some of that myself.

Is the redwork Christmas quilt hand done?

How funny, Mom and I did the same BOM in fact it's the only one I've ever done and it's been sitting around for almost 2 years unfinished. My nephew is buying a house and getting married and he saw Mom's quilt and wanted her to give it to him so Mom and I decided to finish mine as a wedding present. I hadn't thought of using them as monthly wallhangings.

Here's Mom's after I quilted it:
